CYNDA GILLMAN Makes Who's Who TERRY LINTIPPETTS Two Pleasant Grove High School Girls Given Honors Recently Cynda Gillman, daughter of J Var and LaDean Gillman, has been selected to appear in Who's Who Among American High School Students for 1978. Recognition in Who's Who is a national honor reserved exclusively for juniors and senior class high school students who have demonstrated demon-strated leadership or achievement in either academics, athletics, extracurricular ex-tracurricular activities or community service. While the number of students honored annually varies from school to school on a national basis, less than 4 per cent of the junior and senior class students are featured in Who's Who each year. Cynda is a senior at PGHS. She is FHA president, member mem-ber of Pep Club, belongs to the National Honor Society, member of CDTA and Big and Little Sisters Club. She is accepted at Ricks College for this fall and will be studying Family Life. Terry Lin Tippetts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Tippetts, has been selected to represent Pleasant Grove High School as Outstanding Out-standing Student for the month of March. Honoring outstanding students is a sponsored activity ac-tivity of the American Fork Rotary Club. Terry was honored Tuesday at their general luncheon at the Alpine Country Club. Terry Lin is a senior at Pleasant Grove High this year. She enjoys being active in school. She belongs to the Big and Little Sister Club, member of Future Homemakers of America, and is very interested in her Fashion Design Class. She is very active in the LDS Church. She sings in the Lindon First Ward Choir. Her hobbies include sewing, creating things with her hands, han-ds, watching spectator sports, spor-ts, and mainly being with her family. Terry plans to finish her bank telling course at Utah Technical College, which she is taking along with her senior classes. She has been accepted by Brigham Young University and will attend school there this fall. |
