Show Help Children . . . Parents, Others Set Meeting Friday Community leaders, educators and parents will gather in a series of meetings across the state Friday evening to begin a program aimed at helping parents to help their children succeed in school. "Parents workmg alone and teachers working individually can help kids, but when these grownups work together the benefit to youngsters can multiply several times," said Daryl McCarty. He is the Executive Secretary of the-Utah the-Utah Education Association which is coordinating the project. The meeting for this area is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the Provo High School Cafeteria. McCarty said the sessions will be the springboard for a long term campaign to create a more active partnership between educators and parents. Invited to attend the initial initial sessions are teachers, school administrators, school board members, parents, representatives of the State Board of Education, PTA officials, mayors, city council members, and media personnel. per-sonnel. "Action programs to be used in communities throughout the state will be developed at the sessions," McCarty said.
