Show ... 'Ss ' I, V :.. v . ; - -j y' t . . ; in : li i FLAG OVER CAPITOL Earl Matthews and Douglas Christensen look at flog given to Scouts. It has flown over ov-er U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Doug got it done. Flag Flew Over Capitol Douglas Christensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Christensen, Pleasant Grove, presented an American Flag to the Tim-panogos Tim-panogos Council of Boy Scouts of America Sunday evening at the regular Honor Court. As a project for an Eagle award, Douglas and his group made the necessary arrangements through Senator Jake Garn to have the flag flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. As host, the Second Ward Scouts presented music by way s of a small band under the direction of Keith Sterling, scoutmaster. Nathan Brown, Jeff Willes and Rodney DeJel received Star awards, and John Lloyd and Darin Walker received Life awards. In the contest for participation par-ticipation the Sixth Ward was first, the Third Ward came in second and the Manila Second Ward finished Third. The next Court of Honor will be held on May 16. |
