No. 43 is Ray Walker, tall player Vikings Host S.F.Friday Pleasant Grove lost an exciting ex-citing Region Basketball game to visiting Uintah 58-53 last Friday, Jan. 2. Shooting a meager 34 percent from the field, P.G. fell behind 14-5 at the quarter and trailed 30-19 at the half time. Coach Allred switched from a zone defense to a "scrambling man to man press" early in the first half. It was a defensive change that changed the game tempo. P.G. outscored the Utes 18-6 in the third period to take a one point lead and go into the final quarter. Six different players scored in that third quarter comeback. Larry McKinney, Uintah's 6 ft. 7 in. slender post man scored 20 points but his control of the rebounds was probably more important to the Ute win. P.G. will host Spanish Fork tomorrow night. The Dons are 2-1 in league play with the Vikes 1-2. It should be a good game. P.G. 53 Uintah F.G. F.T. Rbs.
