Show Ilene Beck New President of Mothers' Club The regular meeting of the Mothers Study Club was held Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Maud Richards, at which a very delicious luncheon was served. Assisteing Mrs. Richards as co-hostesses were Eva Dalebout, Madge Christensen and Deane Paulson Mrs. Paulson presided at the meeting and took charge of elections. Mrs. Mamie Hjorth, of Springville, dressed in costume of the early days of the founding foun-ding of the Mormon Church, gave a very interesting first person review of the life of Emma Hales Smith, wife of the Prophet Joseph Smith. She gave some interesting and little known facets of Emma's life, and eased some of the con-triversial con-triversial questions on her strenuous life, and the lives of the early saints; and on her devotion and testimony of the work to which Joseph Smith was called. Following the program, Ilene Beck was elected president of the club to serve for one year, with Sarah Clark, Vice President, Estelle Fenton, Treasurer and reporter, and -Geneve Warnick Courtesy. A vote of thanks and appreciation ap-preciation for the outgoing officers was given to Deane Paulson, Maud Richards, Ilene Beck and Elna Clark. Donna Brock and Fae Belliston were invited guests. Club members present, besides those already mentioned were: Rose Radmall, Nora Mac-Farlane, Mac-Farlane, Mae Jensen, Lydia i Hilton and Arvilla Harvey. |
