Show AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING EX-TENDING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT GROVE. Background. 1. On the 6th day of May 1976 Craig Allred, the owner of real property as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated in the tract herein described, requested that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Pleasant Grove City. 2. Petitioner caused an accurate ac-curate plot or map to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor to be filed with the City Recorder together with said petition. 3. Said tract of land is continuous con-tinuous to Pleasant Grove City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexted to and made a part of said city. 4. The City Council at a regular meeting held on May 18, 1976, after examing said petition of the said owners and considering the circumstances thereof voted by vote of more than two-thirds of all members of the City Council in favor of annexing said tract of land to Pleasant Grove City and directed that an ordinance should be passed annexing said territory and extension of the city limits of Pleasant Grove City accordingly. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah: Section 1. That the city limits of Pleasant Grove be and the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the following described tract of land in Utah County, to wit: Commencing North 175.30 ft. and East 640.99 ft. and S. 89 deg. 42 min. 00 sec. E. along Sumner Acres 594.99 ft from N.E. Corner Section 21, T5S, R2E Salt Lake Base and Meridian ; thence as follows: N 89 deg. 42. min. 00 sec. W 598.70 ft. along Sumner Acres thence, N. 06 deg. 23 min. 30 sec. W 25.62 ft. thence, N. 17 deg. 52 min. 01 sec. W 142.40 ft thence, N. 24 deg. 48 min. 28 sec. W 173.65 ft thence S. 89 deg. 49 min. 11 sec. E 829.21 ft thence S 0 deg. 12 min. 00 sec. W. 219.72 ft thence N 89 deg 42 min. 00 sec. W 110.00 ft thence S 0 deg. 12 min. 00 sec. W 100.00 ft. to the point of beginning.' BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED ORDAIN-ED AND DECLARED THAT when this ordinance takes effect, the said tract of land above described shall thenceforth then-ceforth be within the corporate limits of Pleasant Grove City and all ordinances, jurisdiction, jurisdic-tion, rules, and obligations to or pertaining to said Pleaaant Grove City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract of land. Section 2. Upon passage of this ordinance, the City Recorder of Pleasant Grove City shall file and he is hereby directed to file a copy of the map or plat above-mentioned, duly certified, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. Additionally, the City Recorder is hereby directed to file with the State Tax Commission within 10 days of the passage of this ordinance notice of the annexation accomplished by this ordinance. Such notice shall contain a certification by the secretary that all necessary legal requirements relating to such annexation have been fully completed. In the opinion of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the -eace, health and safety of .'leasant Grove City that this ordinance take effect upon its first publication.
