Show Information, Referral System Set in County The Utah County Commission Com-mission has announced the opening of the official Information In-formation and Referral System for the county. Operating under the umbrella of the Community Services Agency this system will open to the public on February 17 on a 24-hour basis. This service will be known as HELP LINE with toll free numbers for Provo-Orem and North and South County. Long needed in Utah County, HELP LINE will provide the public with a single location to contact for any type of help or assistance needed. The three main functions of the HELP LINE will consist of: 1) Information: any problem or question you may have; 2) Referral: if you have a problem and don't know where to turn HELP LINE can refer you to programs for the elderly, housing assistance, personal or family counseling, volunteer opportunities, legal aid and many other services. This will consist of follow-up to make sure your problem has been handled. 3) Crisis Assistance: HELP LINE will listen and actively respond. It will provide crisis intervention, a listening ear or emergency referral. If you would like further information on the HELP LINE or need any of the services provided by them, please contact 374-6400 in Provo and Orem and 785-6060 in North County. |
