KNOW HER Lorene Hiatt gives book report to Betty Hansen, subject of first article on 'Know Your School Know Your P.G.H.S. She has many dreams and goals in life such as (a) to see her children happily settled in life, (b) to have a successful year at school, and (c) to live and travel in Europe lor a year or maybe two. Mrs. Hansen is highly regarded as an English teacher at PGHS. by Joy Ellis This is the first of a series of interviews at PGHS by the student council public relations chairman to acquaint the community with the high school. Mrs. Betty Hansen, English teacher, was born in Ephraim, Utah. She graduated from Snow High School and also attended .Snow College. After her marriage she returned to college ' when her children were old enough to fend for themselves. She received her B.A. in English and history from BYU Mrs. Hansen also has her M.A. in American and British literature from the same institution. in-stitution. Her teaching experience includes 8 years teaching English at Pleasant Grove Junior High. She is presently teaching 11, and 12 grade English, which has been her assignment during her 5 years at Pleasant Grove High School. Mrs. Hansen's family includes in-cludes her husband Boyd, an elementary teacher at Scera Park School; a son, Jay who is a student at the University of Utah; and two daughters. Karen is married, has a daughter Jennva. Laurel is a student at BYU. , Her hobbies include reading (anything and everything including in-cluding cereal boxes), sewing, and needlework. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Pleasant Grove City Board of Adjustments will meet Wednesday, October 1, 1975, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Hall to consider the following requests: 7:00 The request of Mr. Richard Clark for a variance to the front yard set back requirement. City orinance requires a front set back on any building of 25 feet. Mr. Clark wishes to construct a garage which would extend eight feet into the required front yard. The property is located at 301 North 200 East. 7:15 The request of J-2 Development for a two foot side yard variance. Th's company is constructing a home at 1060 East 100 North and to be able to construct the desired home this variance is needed. City ordinance or-dinance requires 20 feet between bet-ween buildings and the company com-pany is taking that 18 feet be allowed in this case. Interested citizens are invited in-vited to attend this meeting and express their opinions.
