Show i v r f 'V P THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 1975 ' PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 1975 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Pleasant Grove City Board of Adjustments will meet Wednesday, April 2, 1975 at 7:00 p.m. to review the request of Wayne Martell for a side yard variance for their vacant lot located at approximately 205 East :S00 South. Mr. Martell is desirous of constructing a home on this lot but because of the narrowness of the lot and the location of the existing home on the west it will be necessary to obtain a variance to the side yard requirements and distance between buildings. K l . k V' I- ' i , , YOUTH CONFERENCE Kay Christensen and Christine Card meet with Elder Sterling W. Sill at recent Youth Conference held in Timpanogos Stake last Saturday at noon. Elder Sterling Sill Here Saturday Timpanogos Stake Youth Conference was held last Saturday, March 22 in the Third Ward Chapel. Elder Sterling W. Sill presideded and President Frederick R. Shoell conducted. Elder Sill gave a very in-spirational message to the youth. 411 youth or about 67 percent of the enrollment of youth in the stake, were present at the meeting. Aaronic Priesthood and Young Women youth leaders had charge of the conference and the five workshops were held following Elder Sill's remarks. Stake leaders extend special appreciation to Karl Butler, Gareth Seastrand, Ray Clements, Herschel Pedersen, President and Sister Harold Glen Clark and Lynn Scoresby who conducted the workshops. Walker. First Ward Explorers Win P.G. Stake Basketball Championship Pleasant Grove First Ward captured a thrilling 53-4- 8 triumph over Seventh Ward taking first place in the Stake Explorer Basketball Saturday night at the Pleasant Grove High School President Leon Walker and Bishop Gordon Allred congratulated the team members for their success. The First Ward team will be in the Explorer Basketball Tournament starting April 1 playing American Fork State's first place team. Cattle Eat Less Grain Three-fourth- s of the feed be-ing used to produce beef in this country is grass, forage, and Cattle experts say the trend is toward still less grain. Provo Wins Over Vikings in Tuesday Game Pleasant Grove's baseball squad did everything but score more runs against Provo's Bulldogs last week but lost 2 in the seasons second game. Viking pitchers limited Bulldog hitters to just 3.strikingout 10 and giving up one earned run while Viking hitters were "banging" out 6 hits, striking out just 3 times and producing one earned run. Dave Hansen, Verlyn Ashton and Joel Brady shared the mound duties and turned in good performances! Hansen was particularly impressive in striking out 5 in three innings.
