Show Mainstream Grant Given to Spanish Fork Jaycee Group A $3,000 U.S. Jaycee Project Mainstream grant was awarded to the Spanish Fork, Utah Jay-cees Jay-cees to help them coordinate volunteer programs for disadvantaged disad-vantaged youth in Utah Valley. Val-ley. The announcement of the award came from project chairman chair-man and future Jaycee chapter president, Spence Wood. The Spanish Fork chapter is one of 80 in the ntaion to be selected to receive a grant under un-der the 1973-74 program. The Spanish Fork Jaycees recently elected to provide vlounteer manpower, money, and community com-munity relations efforts to assist as-sist disadvantaged youth if they were awarded a Project Mainstream grant. Project Mainstream is a joint effort between the Spanish Fork Jaycee chapter and the Utah County Action Agency in an effort to uplift the lives of youth through volunteer service. ser-vice. Goal of the project is to eventually reach 470 young people through the volunteer programs. The coordinator for the project will be Julie Mackay of the County Action Agency.
