PTSA to Sell Passes To Grove Theatre At PI. Grove High On Friday, November 22nd the PTSA will be at the High School from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the main foyer to sell students passes to the Grove Theater. Cost of the pass will be $12.00 for 13 movies (a regular $16.25 value), for students in the grades 7th through 12th. Younger students can purchase a pass for $5.00 (a regular $6.50 value. Passes are good anytime and their isn't any expiration date. Now is a good time to take advantage of this saving, so bring your money with you to school tomorow and you can purchase your pass there. If you desire to buy one on another date please contact Marge Lundell 785-432- 1 or Lor-n- a Walker, 785-347- Provo Temple to Close Wednesday The Provo Temple will close Wednesday noon, November 27, 1974, in deference to house-wives and mothers preparing for the Thursday, Thanksgiving holiday. The Temple will re-op- on Friday morning, Nevember 29, at 5:30 a.m. and will also be open Saturday, November 30th from 5:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. These two days are especi-ally open to families of temple patrons gathered for Thanks-giving celebrations. Visiting Family members should be re-minded to bring their temple recommends, when they ''come home to celebrate." The temple affords special opportunities and an atmos-phere for expressions of graat-itud- e for the blessings we en-joy, according to Harold Glen Clark, President of the Temple. Mr. Newman also stressed it is important for the city coun-cil establish connection fees, and perhaps make an incentive for paying these fees before construction actually begins. Discussion was had on pros and cons of dig-ging another well. The council felt it would be unwise to let lapse. A lengthy discussion was had regarding the Orem-Lin- - don culinary water sale, but no definite decision was reached. Councilman Darrell Framp-to- n reported that Stan Adams has successfully completed the Officer Training School. He said he would review Mr. Ad-ams work and would recom-mend giving him a $25 per month raise. Items of business discussed at the Lindon City Planning Commission meeting held Oct 7 were reviewed by the coun-cil also. Major items were the proposed sale on culinary wat-,e- r from Lindon to Orem City, a discussion on the Deer Creek Equeduct water as to whether Lindon City could still use it or not, and a report from How-ard Engh on three items. Terry Tomlinson also met with the Planning Commission, to request permission to erect a 40 x 120 ft storage building. The city council at their meet-ing on Nov. 13, approved the permit to move in the building. The results of the audit re-port was ' discussed. The need to stay strictly within the city budget was discussed. The council approved meeting with the department heads on Fri-day evening, November 22nd to discuss ways of economizing in the varoius departments and to increase revenues. Councilman Mills reported that he is working with the State Road Commission in re-viewing alternatives for srteet improvements and traffic con-trol on the Geneva Road south of Highway 89. Councilman Bezzant reported that the city planner, who also teaches at the BYU, is willing to have his class members work on a downtown study for Pleasant Grove. It was report-ed that a meeting will be held next Tuesday, November 26 at the city hall to obtain the feel-ings of the downtown business people about this study. The council reviewed the cost of publishing annexation ordinance and zone change re-quests should pay the cost of the publication.
