Show Q. L ELDER MARION D. HANKS Will speak at conference Meeting Scheduled To Formulate Swimming League In recent years there has been much concern about the deterioration of our competitive competi-tive swimming program on a community-county basis. Many people feel the need to restore the Utah Valley Swimming Swim-ming League. It is believed that this summer recreation program pro-gram provides many young athletes, male and female, an opportunity to participate in a competitive swimming program who are limited to spring and summer conditioning beca' se of lack of winter facilities, or find it impossible to attend a year-round workout because of transportation problems or school activities. A meeting will be held for all pool managers, team coaches, coach-es, parent committees, and all others interested in a swimming swim-ming program, on March 27, 7:30 p.m. in the Steelworkers Union Hall, 1847 South Columbia Colum-bia Lane, in Orem. Items of discussion will concern con-cern scheduling of meets, having hav-ing a Utah Valley championship champion-ship and how it is to be organized, organ-ized, and to have a governing body for the program. |
