Show Holiday on Ice to Be at Salt Palace September 13-22 A company that began with only 35 people and an idea that an ice show should be built on less expensive lines than other shows of its type and which now boasts two North American Ameri-can companies with staffs, crews and skaters numbering over 100 people for each show will arrive in Salt Lake City for its annual Salt Palace run beginning Sept. 13 and running through Sept. 22. Holiday on Ice International is appearing in conjunction with the Utah State Fair and a ticket to Holiday on Ice also will gain admission to the Fair. The show is produced by Bob Shipstad and owned by Medicor, an enterprise whose interests range from the Vancouver Van-couver Canucks Hockey team to one of the largest ad agencies agen-cies devoted to the entertainment entertain-ment field. There will be the extravagant extrava-gant and fantastic, the humorous humor-ous and the nostalgic. There will be costumes never before seen on ice as Snoopy, the first and finest skating beagle in the land graces the ice with the ensemble known as the Glamour leers. Music will be provided by a world famous chorus and in a "Sesame Street" styled production pro-duction number featuring Ner-nie-the-Nerd and Professor Teawinkle, the audience will be treated to the sounds of a moog, a machine-like instrument instru-ment which can echo words of human voices. An interpretation interpreta-tion of "Fiddler on the Roof with a precision line of Russian peasants is sure to be a memorable mem-orable moment in an evening of excellence. |
