He was a retired rancher. Survivors include his widow, Lindon, one son and four Lindon, one son, four daughters Mrs. Samuel (Luzon) Crosby, Orem; Mrs. Gene (Thalma) Bosch, Jarbide, Nev.; Mrs. Lois Taylor, Denver; Mrs. Guy (Wandora) Moore, Lindon; and Robert H. Stevens, Layton; 28 grandchildren, 25 Golden Keys Hold Annual Steak Fry With Husbands On July 29, the annual steak fry was held for the members of the Golden Geys and their husbands. They enjoyed a very delic-ious dinner and the rest of the evening was spent playing games and visiting. Members and husbands pre-sent were: Jerry and Lillian Wadley, Don and Gayle Hold-awa- y, Jerry and Carol Soren-son- , Don and Leone Rutledge. Paul and Betty Whitley, Kar-en and Virgil Albrecht, Bill and Nancy Jones, Carol Adam-so- n and Jane Smith. Host and hostess were Leon-ard and Loretta Carter. Hendricks of Encino, California, and the late Mrs. Grace B. Hendricks, an-nounce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Joan Hendricks to Douglas R. Benson of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Parents of the future bride groom are Mr. and Mrs. Clar-ence Benson, Joan and Doug will seal their love in marriage for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on the morning of August 24. A re-ception will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Third-Sixt- h Ward Chapel in Pleasant Grove. Friends and relatives are cordially invited. The bride to be is a May graduate of Brigham Young University. The groom gradu-ated from Pleasant Grove High School and has served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is pres-ently employed in Salt Lake City. After their marriage, they plan to make their home in Pleasant Grove. Lehi Team Wins Pleasant Grove Softball Tourney After a long hard week of softball, Greenwood Carpet came out on top of the tourn-ament entries. They won a total of five games, two on tse con-cluding day, Friday. Second place trophy went to Pack's Masonry. The only team to defeat them in the tourna-ment was the Greenwood Car-pet team. They did it twice on Friday. Third place went to the P.G. Second Ward, and the sports-manship trophy went to Page Brake of Salt Lake. Most valuable pitcher in the tourney was won by Merlin Barnes of Greenwood's, while the leading hitter was Lynn Tolman of Rasmussen's Heat-ing with 10 for 14 or .710 pet. The tournament was quite a success according to sponsors, as around 300 to 400 people were out at once to watch the different games. Next year a tri-cit- y city league looks in for sure, with the results of the tourney proving it will work. Funeral Rites Held Monday for Hugh Albert Stevens Funeral services for Hugh Albert Stevens, Lindon, who died Thursday, Aug. 10 at his home of natural causes, were held Monday, Aug. 14 in the Lindon Ward Chapel, under the direction of Mack Ostergaard counselor in the Lindon Ward bishopric. Speakers at the services were Joseph Ash and Bishop Tyler Rogers, and Mr. Ostergaard al-so gave a life sketch of the deceased. Musical numbers included a vocal duet by Doris Johnson and Eva Millett, accompanied by Lucile Logan, and a vocal solo by Wilma Taylor, accom-panied by Su Ann Taylor. Family prayer was given by Samuel Crosby, invocation by Verl Abbott, and benediction by Donald Holdaway. Robert Stevens dedicated the grave in the Timpanogos Memorial Gar-dens, Orem. Pallbearers were Fredrick Thatcher, Terry Atkinson, Ter-ry Moore, Samuel Crosby Jr., Steven Moore and John George Mr. Stevens was born Oct. 21, 1892, in Loa, a son of George Thomas and Cynthia Latscha McClelland Stevens. Parade of Homes Showing Set for Salt Lake City The Parade of Homes, '72, the 18th annual show, spon-sored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Salt Lake, will open Aug. 19, at 7500 S. Old Wasatch Blvd. The show will run through Labor Day with hours each weekday except Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Sat-urdays and Sundays, and on Labor Day, show hours will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Wednesday, the show will be open from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. In this year's show there will be 15 homes, built by some of the area's builders. Admission is $1.25 for adults and 50 cents for children 6 to 12 years old. Children under 6 will be admitted free. "Hello Dolly" at Payson for Harvest Days "Hello Dolly" will be a feat-ure attraction at the Payson annual Harvest and Homecomi-ng celebration Aug. 30-3- 1 and Sept. 2-- 4 according to a news release from there. Setting for the show will be the Payson Community Theatre and a cast from throughout Utah County will be directed by Archie Williams. Star of the show as "Dolly" will be Mrs. Doris Gasser, who is a fa-vorite entertainer in this area. Everyone is invited to come to Payson's annual celebration and see this outstanding musi-cal production. PUBLIC NOTICE In the Regular City Council meeting of Aug. 1, 1972, the Pleasant Grove City Council adopted Volumes II of the Uniform Building Code to be the Building Code of Pleasant Grove City.
