Show $75,000 Worth of Talent Will Be Seen at Utah State Fair will be "The Man of a Thousand Thous-and Voices," Candy Candido. This great talent has been featured fea-tured in Walt Disney productions product-ions for many years and has been heard and seen on radio, TV, and supper clubs and theatres thea-tres coast to coast. He will a-muse a-muse and delight Fair-goers as goodwill ambassador and master mas-ter of ceremonies during the entire ten days of the Fair, as will The Chief tones and Dave Merrifield. Admission price to the Fair will be $1.50 for adults, 50 cents for children 6 through 12 with children 5 and under free. Fair admission entitles all ticket tic-ket holders to attendy any of the exhibits or shows scheduled schedul-ed for that day. A veritable parade of acts, personalities and spectacular events characterize the over $75,000 worth of talent which will be seen at the 1971 Utah State Fair, according to Hugh C. Bringhurst, director of the Division of Expositions. Sky divers, singing groups, animal shows, comedians, rock groups, country and western stars . . . all express the wide range and diversity of entertainment which will greet Fair-goers on September 9 through 19. "Although we are bringing in over $75,000 worth of talent this year, the entertainment itself it-self will be only one part of an exciting array of displays, exhibits, contests and competitions compe-titions which have been scheduled sched-uled for the 1971 Fair," Mr. Bringhurst said. The exciting "Holiday on Ice" will be featured featur-ed at the Salt Palace in conjunction con-junction with the Fair, and tickets tic-kets to this attraction will also al-so include stubs for admission to the Fail-. Sky divers and Bobby Conn's West Coast Show's Carnival are two more attractions which will vie for attention with such crowd pleasers as The Chief-tones, Chief-tones, a young, exciting all Indian In-dian musical group from Canada Can-ada who perform with guitar rhythm, bass, drums and often of-ten organ, and who also use saxophone, clarinet, accordian, ukele, banjo, and harmonica in their performances. They play almost anything the audiences wishes to hear. The politeness congeniality and charming personalities per-sonalities of The Chieftones bring them as much praise as their expert musicianship. The Space Age super-sensation, Dave Merrifield, will be back again to thrill the crowds with his spine-tingling and death-defying acrobatics suspended sus-pended 200 feet up from a helicopter. heli-copter. This is one of the most remarkable aerial thrill acts being seen anywhere coast to coast. Returning again for another year as master of ceremonies |
