Show Fall Shooting Will Start with Grouse, Partridge, Rabbits Nimrods will be going afield Saturday, Sept. 23 to hunt the elusive Chukkar partridge, Hungarian Blue, Ruffled and Sage Grouse, according to Art Henderson, local conservation officer for the Division of Wild-lift Wild-lift Resources. Cottontail rabbit shooting will also open at the same time. Shooting hours will be daylight day-light hours only according to Mr. Henderson. He also stated a license is required to take these game birds and animals. A small game or combination license is required. 12 year olds through 15 years old must be attended by an adult 21 years of age or older while hunting. Strawberry Valley, in Wasatch Was-atch County will be closed to hunting sage grouse, but will remain open to Blue, Ruffled Grouse and cottontail rabbit. Mr. Henderson urged all hunters hunt-ers to get a proclamation and acquaint themselves with the bag and possession limits, and also be aware of private property prop-erty owners rights and the litter lit-ter law. Leave a clean camp. Mr. Henderson also noted it is unlawful to carry a firearm in any vehicle with a live round or shell in the firing chamber or to shoot from a vehiclt or from upon, or across any road.
