Sportsmen and Lions Clubs Are Building Civic Center Building Pleasant Grove Sportsman's Club and the Pleasant Grove Lions Club are cooperating on a unique civic center building just above 6th East on Center Street, according to Leonard Carter, Sportsmen's president. The building will be 40 by 80 feet with a full basement and will be of cinder block construction. con-struction. A gun safety classroom class-room and shooting range will be housed in the basement, and upstairs will be an office and an entertainment room suitable for public gatherings, parties, etc. The building will be available avail-able for public use, Mr. Carter said, with a fee being charged for maintenance and other necessary nec-essary expenses. Mr. Carter said they hope to get the block upper structure struc-ture on this summer, and the basement has been poured this past week. Help is needed for buying the block and donations will be appreciated Mr. Carter Car-ter stated. The building will be a big help in interesting junior sportsmen in gun safety and these classes will be held there. |
