PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH THURSDAY OCTOBER 15 1970 -- j - ' I Vv-- ' IRON ANDERSON Convention Ron Anderson Wins Award, Now At Convention Ron Anderson, FFA member in the Pleasant Grove Chapter, was among several Utah FFA boys who traveled this week to Kansas City, Missouri for the 43rd National FFA Con-vention. The convention, which open-ed Wednesday, Oct. 14, and ends Friday, is expected to at-tract 12,000 FFA members and guests from 50 states and Puer-to Rico. Ron was the recipient of the FFA Pacific Region Award for outstanding achievement in Soil and Water Management, and is in the running for the national award. He will partic-ipate in the program Thursday, Oct. 15 when the FFA Agricul-tural Proficiency Awards are presented. In addition to Ron, approxi-mately 93 FFA members from Utah will be in attendance at the convention, either to com-pete for national awards, play in the band or sing in the chor-us, or to just visit and take in the convention.
