BRYAN International Lions Head Lions Mid-Winter Conference Set Saturday Night The annual Lions Mid-Winter Conference and Banquet has always been a big event in Utah with over two thousand Lions and their Ladies in attendance. at-tendance. But this year, something some-thing very special has been added. The Lions, for the first time, will have as their featured featur-ed speaker, the President of Lions International. President W. R. Bryan of Doylestown, Ohio, and his wife Ceiia, will fly directly to Salt Lake City from Lamborene, South Africa, and his speech to the Lions will almost certainly include first hand observations on the Nigerian situation. Governor Rampton, the welcoming wel-coming speaker, and other civic civ-ic and church dignitaries will be in attendance at the banquet ban-quet scheduled for 7 p.m., Feb. 7 at the Terrace Ballroom. Lions and their Ladies from all of the western states are invited. in-vited. President Bryan will arrive Friday evening, Feb. 6, and at 7 p.m. will address the International Inter-national Counselors of Lionism at the Rodeway Inn. Saturday, he will be honored guest at a noon meeting hosted by the four District Governors of Utah Celia Bryan will be honored by the wives of the District Governors and wives of the Mid-Winter Conference officials offic-ials at a Saturday noon luncheon lunch-eon in the Sky Room of the Hotel Utah. |
