The Theodore Stecker Family Terry L Bamhart Arrives in Vietnam Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Roland Barnhart of Pleasant Grove that their son Pfc Terry L. Bamhart ar-rived Saturday in Vietnam to begin a tour of active duty with the U.S. Army. Pfc Bamhart enlisted March 19, 1969 and completed his ba-sic training at Fort Ord, Calif. Following this he completed ad-vanced training for service in the Infantry Airborne. Prior to leaving Fort Lewis Washington, for Vietnam, he spent two weeks on leave, vis-iting friends and relatives here in Pleasant Grove. 60c. A limited school insurance policy for $1.50 is also avail-able to all students. Kinder-garten milk fee is $5.40 and should be paid at Kindergarten registration. Grovecrest School Ready for School To Start Tuesday On Tuesday, August 26, stu-dents who attended Grovecrest School last year will report to their assigned rooms at 9:00 a.m. Assignments will be post-ed outside each room. Stu-dents attending Grovecrest for the first time will meet in the auditorium for registration and room assignment. New students are requested to bring a trans-fer slip or promotion card from school last attended. Kindergarten children will receive a letter from school giving them the date and time they should arrive at school. Kindergarten students who do not receive a letter should re-port to the auditorium. School lunches will be 30c per day or a 20 meal lunch ticket may be purchesd for $6.00. These tickets may be purchased from the secretary any day of the week, including the first day of school. Parents are welcome to eat with the students occasionally. Adult lunches remain at 35c. Other money necessary for school opening will be a $1.00 activity fee for each student, payable on the first day of school. This will provide lyc-eu-and entertainment films during the school year. Some classes subscribe to a weekly new magazine at the cost of AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION OF THE CITY ORDINANCES OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY TO PROVIDE THAT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING BASIC STANDARDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF GAS PIPING AND GAS APPLIANCES IN BUILDING SHALL BE AS SET FORTH IN THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDERWRITERS PAMPHLET NO. 54, AND ANY SUBSE-QUENT REVISIONS OR AMENDMENTS THERETO, SHALL BE THE GAS CODE OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY AS FOLLOWS: That Section of the Revised Ordinances of Pleasant Grove City, State of Utah, passed by the City Council of said City on the 21st day of September, 1964 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: ADOPTION OF PAMPHLET NO. 54: The rules and regulations governing basic standards for the installation of gas piping and gas appliances in building shall be as set forth in the National Board of Fire Underwriters Pamphlet No. 54, and any subsequent revisions or amendments thereto and such rules shall govern as though set forth at length herein. Three copies of the code and any subsequent revisions or amendments thereto, shall be filed for use and examination by the public in the office of the recorder. IN THE OPINION of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of Pleasant Grove City that this Ordinance take effect upon its first publication. MARK JOHNSON Pleasant Grove City Recorder AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE X, ARTICLE XVI, SEC-TION 16-- 1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF PLEAS-ANT GROVE CITY PASSED ON THE 21 ST DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1964, TO PROVIDE THAT EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE, THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE X SHALL NOT EXCEED A FINE OF $50 OR IMPRISON-MENT FOR NOT MORE THAN 30 DAYS, OR BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT, TO BE KNOWN AS TITLE X, ARTICLE XVI, SECTION 16-- 1 AS AMENDED: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY AS FOLLOWS: Section 16-- PENALTIES. Unless another penalty is expressly provided by law, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of Title X, of the City Ordinances shall be punished by a fine of not more than $50.00 or by imprisonment of not more than 30 days in the city or county jail or by both such fine and imprisonment. The foregoing provisions shall not apply to nor be construed as being the penalty for violation of Section 15-- 1 of Title 10, of the City Ordinances as amended, the penalty for violation of which shall be a fine in a sum not to exceed $299.00 or con-finement in the Pleasant Grove City jail or in the Utah County, Utah jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment. IN THE OPINION of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of Pleasant Grove City that this Ordinance take effect upon its first publication. AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-1- -1 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY TO PROVIDE THAT THE BUILDING CODE OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY SHALL BE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, SHORT FORM, AS REVISED, BASED ON THE UNIFORM BUILD-ING CODE, VOLUME 1, BY THE INTERNATIONAL CON-FERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS, TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY AS FOLLOWS: That Section of the Revised Ordinances of Pleasant Grove City, State of Utah, passed by the City Council of said City on the 21st day of September, 1964 be, and the same is hereby amended, to read as follows: ADOPTION OF UNIFORM CODE: The Uniform Building Code, Short Form, 1961 Edition, based on Uniform Building Code, Volume 1, by International Conference of Build-ing Officials, and any subsequent revisions or amendments thereto, is hereby approved and adopted as the Building Code of the City pursuant to the provisions of Section 10-6-1- 2, Utah Code Annotated, 1 953, as amended, is made a part of this Chapter and to the same extent and effect as though said Code were copied in full.
