Show Junior Miss Pageant Nov. 22nd KCPX disc jockey Johnny Rider will be the master of ceremonies for the 1969 Junior Miss Pageant to be held at the Pleasant Grove High School at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 22. Theme of the event, "Dreams of the Future" will be used in decorations, staging, and music mus-ic for the event. Admission will be $1 per person, per-son, and everyone is urged to attend for an evening of fine entertainment, which will culminate cul-minate in th selection of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove's Junior Miss for 1970. According to Dennis Ruffell, Jaycee chairman of the event, approximately 18 to 20 girls are entering the contest. Seven of them are listed in this week's paper. Cathie Wood Miss Cathie Wood is the daughter of John S. and Velma Wood of Pleasant Grove. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She participates in 4-H work, is a Candy Striper at the American Am-erican Fork Hospital, and is a member of Thespian Club at PGHS. She plans to seek a career car-eer as a beautician. Teresa Melendez Miss Teresa Melendez, is a daughter of Louis and Lois Melendez Mel-endez of Pleasant Grove. She is a 5 ft 2 in. senior at PGHS, and has auburn hair and brown eyes. She is secretary of the Thespian Club, a member of the Ski Club, and was a homecoming home-coming queen candidate. She plans to have a career in psychology. psy-chology. Christine Brady Miss Christine Brady is the daughter of LaRoss and Jo-Anne Jo-Anne Brady, of Pleasant Grove A 5 ft 5 in. senior, with brown hair and blue eyes, she is a member of the Pep Club and GAA. She plans a career in - business management. Norma Jean Stott s Miss Norma Jean Stott is a daughter of L. Norman Stott. She is a five foot six inch senior sen-ior and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is a five foot four and one half inch senior with brown hair and brown eyes. She is a member of the Pep Club, Ski Club, and was an FFA queen candidate. She is also a member of the PGHS and the Utah Valley Honor Band. She served as Junior class cheerleader cheer-leader and is a member of the school science committee. She will seek a career as an airline air-line hostess. |
