Show Jaycees Hold July Meeting Last Thursday Evening Members of the Pleasant Grove Jaycees held their monthly mon-thly meeting last Thursday night at the Jaycee Club House under the direction of Dennis Ruffell, club president. Sixteen members were present pres-ent along with special guests Tim May, Internal Vice President, Presi-dent, Utah Jaycees; Jerry Lopez, Lo-pez, Spoke Sparkplug State chairman and Roy Dahl, District Dis-trict president. Talks were given giv-en by all three guests. Two new community benefit projects were discussed by the members present at the meeting, meet-ing, portable bleachers for the Little League Football Association Associa-tion and a flag pole for the Lindon City Park. Mr. Ruffell said that all past Jaycee projects were a success due to the hard work by Jaycee Jay-cee members and loyal support from the Pleasant Grove area people. He also announced that city ball park spectators should be glad to hear that the Jaycees are running a refreshment stand during the nights when there are games. Following the regular meeting meet-ing last Thursday night, refreshments re-freshments were served. The next meeting will be held Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at the club house. All interested in community com-munity development and public service are welcome to attend, Mr. Ruffell emphasized. |
