Show Funeral Rites for Orval K. Hallsey Held on Tuesday Funeral services for Orval Kent Hallsey, 27, were held Tuesday, January 16 at 12:00 noon in the Third-Sixth Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Cloyd L. Christiansen of the Sixth Ward. Mr. Hallsey died Jan. 13 in American Fork hospital from natural causes. Speakers, who told of the short but purposeful life of the young husband and father were James McCausland and Grant Fugal. Bishop Christiansen, Christian-sen, also gave closing remarks of solace and sympathy. Musical numbers consisted of selections, "Going Home" by Ross Bratt and "The Lord Is My Shepherd" by Jay Lloyd and Karen Springer. Judy Brown played the organ prelude pre-lude and postlude. Family prayer was led by John Valberg, Ray Young gave the invocation and benediction was offered by J. C. Hilton. Pallbearers were Stephen Turner Dwaine Shertz, Joseph Johnson, Thomas Atkinson, Philip Bourgeoes, FYed Herrera and Walter Mitchell. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Sixth Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where George L. Paul dedicated the grave. Born June 19, 1940, American Fork, to Orval H. and Ruth Park Hallsey. Married Daphne (Dee) Zufelt, Sept. 2, 1967, Elko, Nevada. Mechanic Tooele Army Depot. Member LDS Church. Survivors: wife, stepson, step-son, John, Gregory, Kelly, Jef-fry, Jef-fry, all Peasant Grove; father, Seebert, Texas; mother, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. |
