Show www aide piute county farm news prom office of county agent 44 4 foar il and boys win honors at cedar two 4 H club members terry morrill of Xing kingston ston and billy 1 holman of junction and one vocational cat ional agriculture student ted jolley of angle took their share 0 of f honors at the southern utah livestock show held in cedar city september 13 14 and 15 16 terry merrills 1010 pound heifer placed in grou group p B and sold tor for 20 cents a pound ted sells jolley had one group A steer weighing 1010 pounds il that hat sold f toi 20 cents per pound and one group B heifer that brought 17 1711 cents per pound billy holman exhibited three purebred suffolk sheep which placed as follows yearling ram in group A in the junior division and first and reserve champion in the open division yearling ewe in group A in the junior division and second in the open division ewe lamb in group A in the junior division and second in the open division both billy and terry entered the 4 H club livestock judging billy tied tor for second place and terry tied with another third place winner this was good work considering that 18 boys entered the competition and the local boys had no pevious livestock judging while at the show the boys enjoyed seeing a horse show and tile the exhibition they picked up many pointers that will vill be useful at similar occasions A huge junior banquet on friday evening september 14 climaxed the show following Pon OwIng the sale of fat animals on saturday the boys returned home with county agent max E conrad and mablel jolley from angle |
