Show natural resources to be studied meeting to be held field in richfield august I 1 19 9 after three preliminary meetings in brigham city tooele thoele and provo all of which were productive of great good for the local communities and the state research workers of the university of utah and members of the resources committee of the utah association of chamber of commerce executives will begin on august 16 a series of meetings throughout southern utah it was announced by J A theobald of price association president during that week the following schedule of meetings will be observed august 16 delta 1230 pm milford pm august 17 cedar city 12 noon st george 8 pm august 18 kan ab 12 noon panguitch pm august 19 marysvale Marys vale 12 noon richfield 8 pm august 20 manti 12 noon the meetings will be conducted under the auspices of local chambers of commerce and civic clubs to be attended by y representatives of business industry and agriculture local leaders will meet with dr elroy nelson acting director of the bureau of business and economic research peseach of the U of U five graduate student research workers H wright volker secretary of the resources committee and a number of state business and industrial leaders at each meeting there will be outlined the results of surveys of natural resources reso resources already made and an outline of the work being planned an open discussion sion is is expected to bring out methods whereby industry can be introduced into the sin smaller ciller communities agriculture improved and present industries expanded local residents will be invited to submit data on local natural resources which can be incorporated into the state economy or are available for new industry and new capital |
