law enforcement offices submit good report A report from the law enforcement division of plute county shows that criminal cases were tried in the county since january 1 1943 up to and including c june 1 1948 with convictions and three acquittals out of the cases ten were felony charges since january 1 1948 there have been 37 cases with 36 convictions vie vict ions and one acquittal sheriff carl G beebe and piute diute county attorney glen betenson in submitting the above report stated that they felt this was a very good record however a yearly average of the total number of cases for the five years ending december 31 1947 would indicate that the number is almost doubled for the first five months of 1948
