Show C HABLES E HYMN PASSES 00 boco sad indeed are the hearts of southern utah as they learn of the passing of charles E rowan st sr prominent stockman of antimony who passed away at the salina hospital after months of illness incident to old 4 age e fune Funer r al services will be bield held at antimony toda today Y friday charles E rowan was loved and respected by everyone who knew him lie he wasa hard bard working hard riding cattleman who shot the game square with his fel and his rasping marks the passing of another of the pioneers of our section who have laid the foundation for fora a better country in these rocky mountains helas he was born in honolulu hawaii june 8 1861 a son of william and louisa richards rowan he came to utah when 1 12 years of age with his cifes uncle william king who was doing missionary work for the church of jesus christ of latter day saints in hawaii he first settled in fillmore Fill M millard illard county utah where he became very prominent as a rattle cattle raiser later he joined the united order in kingston piute diute county utah his part of the gg efcy w work being to take care of the cattle of the order at the close of the order in 1882 he moved to antimony where aher e he bebas has since resided he was married to delilah king daughter of the late cu ceib ab art an a an i d esther mccullough diug he sis is survived by his good wife and three children charles E rowan jr former president of the garfield stake now president of the texas mission eva D riddle and louise mitchell he is also survived by 19 grandchildren our sincerest sympathy goes coes out to his bereaved berea vec wife vi ife aal family |
