| Show east ward calls self help mass meeting meeting canday night kight to discuss alious which can call b lc e inaugurated for church self help program at it a meeting thursday night ut of fast east warr ward officers it was decided to call a mass meeting of the entire ward to lo discuss plu piu ibets for the church self help program this meeting will be held on sunday evening at 8 0 chock in the last east ward chapel and every member of the ward is urged to be there at the meeting thursday night to which all ot of the priesthood quorums and auxiliary organize izi lions of the bardl ward were invited there were about twenty tive people pe sent including the bishopric the ward was divided into sections and someone who was waa at the meeting will visit every home in the ward before sunday to invite them to the meeting mr air lamont lament E of 0 the stake presidency and chairman of 0 the now new church program in chii stake will be asked to come over from cedar city that night and explain all the phases of the plan he has been making a special study or of tile the various projects which can be taken up and no doubt will be able to give some very good advice at the thursday night me etli several projects were mentioned that are worth considering some of themi them are given as follows A brickyard tor for making native brick a box factory to make shipping boxes out of 0 quaking asp forests in ill our mountains canning centers or a factory to can our surplus fruits and vegetables and work or cabinet shops where men out of employment can make articles of furniture home or for or sale all these I 1 projects haverl oven en ful in a small way in the community in the past and they can be a fain at the mass meeting sunday evening all these things will be explain 01 01 to the people of the ward and so every member Is urged to be in attendance |
