| Show postmaster change to be made march in connection with the announcement by the civil service commission els in this issue ot of an examination for postmaster at par owan it might be added that postmaster P A dark clark whose term has expired will turn over theoffice the office on sunday march to W warner mitchell MU chelI the latter was appointed on feb ath as acting postmaster to take over the office until an examination is held to determine the eligi aligi bles tor for permanent appointment he was authorized to take over this the office immediately on receipt of not ice of appointment about feb 12 but it seemed more desirable from r everal several angles to make the change at the beginning ot of a month which accounts counts tor for the delay in making that change in the meantime J alma benson who is to assist mr air mitchell has hai been in the office with mr air dark clark familiarizing himself with the duties of the office and mr mitchell has spent some time there so that when the change Is made the wor 1 will not slow down too much even then patrons of tile offic are likely to miss the prompt and efficient service which mr dark clark has given them until the new officers become familiar with the ahe routine work mr dark clark has served as postmaster tor for more than thirteen years having taken over the office about feb 1 I 1923 it la is our observation that he has been a good efficient officer his attitude toward tho he new postmaster and his efforts to teach him all the details 0 of f the office are appreciated by the Is latter t ter |
