Show DR JACOBSEN AT BAC ON POSTWAR EDUCATION dr ernest jacobsen dea dean n of the school of education at the U S A C met mc t with the faculty of the branch agricultural college to discuss with them the plans laid down for the post postwar war years in education the mother institution at logan has organized with a central postwar post war planning committee that has in turn appointed sub commit tees to work in four different areas of activity namely curriculum counseling and guidance public relations and field service and a committee on buildings and new equipment quip ment dean jacobsen brings the information that there will be a great liberalization in the entrance requirements for college and that the education of the postwar post war era will deal individually with the student and the particular needs of each student this will be a marked change from the mass production idea of the past several decades this form of education will place great emphasis on counseling and guidance work by trained advisors and should be a great step forward in adjusting students to a lifes work the organization initiated by the college at logan is copied by the faculty at the branch college and win be correlated with the work done at logan |
