Show prominent cedar woman dies after years allne illness SS lucy belle belie joseph armstrong 58 and a half sister of arthur joseph of this city died last wednesday evening following a ii lingering illness of nearly a years duration she underwent an operation about a year ago and although feeling better for some time afterwards she became seriously ill three bonhs ago again miss armstrong was born in A dams darns ville utah january 16 1886 a daughter of john thomas and elizaboth elizabeth eliker joseph mrs joseph died at the time of miss armstrongs birth and she was taken by mr and mrs joseph armstrong of enoch when only nine days old and was later adopted by them she spent her life in enoch and cedar city where she was always busy in church work serving in the Prima primary and sunday school organizations ai izat ions i in both anc enoch ir aad andT SC L city and later became an ac active ve relief society worker funeral services were held for her in the cedar first ward chapel on friday afternoon she is survived by one full brother joseph F joseph of beaver and the following half brothers and sisters arthur joseph of this city mrs lizzie stewart of milford thomas L joseph of st paul minn ernest and walter joseph and mrs mn retta parkinson of beaver she is also survived by the following foster brothers and sisters mrs jane A jones roy and frank armstrong of enoch and john M armstrong of cedar city |
