Show WHEAT BARLEY LOAN RATES WITH GIVEN wheat and barley loan rates for 1942 were announced today by J M palmer of the iron county A A A committee he stated that the loan rate for wheat will be cents a bushel a cedar city the loan rate on barley will be 60 cents a bushel on the no 1 grade paining explaining Ex who is eligible for a loan oan h he said that any person partnership ner ship association or corporation producing wheat or barley as a landlord landowner or tenant who has met the following requirements on their farms 1 have seeded within acreage allotments lot ments or permitted under the provisions of the 1942 agricultural conservation lir program 2 have had 20 per cent of their cropland devoted to soil conserving uses 3 or have earned more than 6 60 per cent of the soil building allowance barley to be eligible for a loan must grade no 5 or better aill ail wheat must be a good marketable quality and dry enough for storage growers storing their wheat 0 on the farm will receive a 7 cent stor age fee this 7 cents a bushel may be advanced at the time the loan is made this has been offered as an inducement and aid in securing more farm storage to relieve con facilities at terminal and sub terminal centers no storage fee is allowed for bar ley and where the barley is stored d 1 in public warehouses or elevators Z the growers must guarantee or have hav 5 the 7 cents a bushed deducted from the loan rate s the loan rate on excess wheat under the marketing quota law is 70 L per cent of the rate to eli t growers and the loan can be made only on that portion of the crop I 1 which is classed as excess |
