Show utah principals to meet at duck creek southern utah will be hosts this year to the utah state principals association at its annual summer convention it was announced this week by L C miles president of the association the convention will be held at the duck creek forest camp from june 10 to 14 this is the first time southern utah tah has been host to this or pani nation bation which is made up of junior and senior high school principals and superintendents of schools throughout utah governor herbert 13 maw has been extended an invitation to join the group and has signified his intentions of being here if circumstances permit many educators from western universities are also expected though the convention officially opens on tuesday it is expected that most of the group croup will be in camp monday night the forest service under the direction of blame blaine betenson is giving every cooperation in providing tents and facilities for the members monday night program has las been arranged wm R palmer will give a short lecture on indian history of southern utah and other I 1 numbers will be furnished by talent from southern utah towns the program as outlined for the duration of the convention calls for meetings each day at which various educational problems will be discussed and a bonfire program each evening another feature ot of the convention will be daly daily hikes led by members of the forest service of the dixie forest fores t and from the regional forest office in ogden on wednesday evening a special program will be given followed by a dance to which everyone is invited |
