Show road matters discussed at exchange luncheon at the regular semimonthly semi monthly meeting of the parowan carowan exchange club held on monday of this week several matters pertaining to road improvements in this section of the county were discussed the club for some time has been urging the completion of the paro wan main canyon road and also the one from the head of little creek canyon to connect with a road from garfield county which is 13 being built south of little creek peak chairman ivan decker of the road committee told the club that he had written a letter to governor herbert B maw asking for an appointment for a committee from the local club at the time of writing the governor was in the east but that he had received an answer from one of the secretaries in the governors office stating that an appointment could probably be arranged as soon as the governor returned he said since that time he had written again but had received no answer it was also decided to send a delegation from the club to meet with rep marsden and D F larson larso i district road engineer at cedar city and urge that some appropriation be made for these two roads so that work could begin as soon as the weather permits A nominating committee consisting of john H pendleton ray H adams and S J whitney was appointed to select nominees for the annual election of the club and to set a date for such election |
