| Show SECURITY WOOL READY TO HANDLE FELTS the wool puffery sponsored by the carowan parowan east ward and being operated by some of its members Is now ready to handle sheep pelts according to a statement made by bishop W L adams this morning ancel J adams Is manager S J whitney secretary and watson adams treasurer ot of the organization with several other men in the ward interested in the project the is located in the building formerly used by S J whitney as a blacksmith shop this building has haa been remodeled and vats and other equipment installed ready to start work this will handle tor for the present pelts donated by sheep men to the various wards of the tive five stakes comprising this district of the church social security program Sheep men will be asked to donate as many pelts as they can and will receive e credit tor for them as ward donations when the wool is pulled and sold or made into blankets each ward can draw on oil the puffery to the extent that they have furnished pelts later when more funds are available the organization may send men out into the field to buy pelts either on a cash or credit basis but tor for the present the will operate on pelts furnished by church wards in the paro wall washington moapa zion park and kane stakes and the workers will be paid wages for their labor at a meeting ot of the bishops of all wards in fit the district held in st george on oil december IS 18 all those present were enthusiastic about the plan and said that they would ask their ward members to donate pelts to them these wards in turn will them here to be processed and will get their pay when the wool is sold A |
