Show Y ROAD TO REMAIN PART OF STATE SYSTEM SAYS SENATOR MARSDEN of great interest to most TIMES readers is a letter received tills this week from senator L N marsden jn which he gives assurance that the road from here to lund by way of the gap will not be eliminated from tile the state road system the senators bettor follows january 1927 editor parowan carowan times I 1 note la in the lost last issue of your paper that mr 11 1 1 L adams Is in ili receipt of a communication forwarded by rep J G pace to the taxpayers of iron county la fit regards to a recent bill introduced in the house which proposes to eliminate the par owan Y road as a state highway the hill has not as yet come to the senate and has met such opposition because of similar eliminations in III other counties not only by people of the various counties but by their representatives in the state legislature that it has been withdrawn by its author to be modified and rewritten mr blood chairman of 0 the state road commission has personally assured me that the Y road will not bo be eliminated as a state slate highway I 1 am opposing any inexpedient attempt to have these roads shifted from state to county expense and tavor favor the addition of 0 more state highways in Fou hern thern utah respectfully L N MARSDEN |
