Show r W T A 4 v N 0 f t 4 is w lf S Sa a Y r a aj t 2 j 1 l JM J- J f fJ M fi r i r 1 t J 1 a x 1 r e IM Na HOMEWARD BOUND Life is full of new experiences experiences experiences and Kirk Knowlton 14 of East Oak Lane Kaysville Kaysville Kays- Kays ville vile is proof of this state state- ment KIRK HAS been flat on his back in the South Davis Community hospital for the past month in casts and traction traction traction trac trac- tion from leg injuries suffered in an unusual accident at Solitude Ski Resort on Jan 2 2 He has wanted to be at home rather than in the hospital hospital hospital hos hos- pital so on Jan 28 Kirk was lifted hospital bed traction and all into a large truck and brought home The back end of the truck was open air so Kirk zipped himself head and all into a sleeping bag for protection against winters winter's icy wind KIRK IS the son of Dr and Mrs Ute Knowlton His father accompanied him on the trip home Kirk will remain in traction for two more weeks He was injured in a freakish lift chair-lift accident where he broke his femur bone the tuba bone in his leg and pulled all of the ligaments loose in his knee After the accident where a loose chair ahead bore down on him he was taken to the University hospital in Salt Lake City where he remained three days then was transferred to the South Davis Community Hospital until his brave m move ve vehome home Wednesday IT WAS rather a cool trip as the thermometer was down downa a little that day but Kirk was happy to be home and is none the worse for the trip I n Life lately has been a series of strange conveyances for Kirk Knowlton who was seriously injured in a lift chair-lift accident at Solitude ski resort From there thereto to a up cranked-up hospital bed complete with traction devices to the back of an open truck home must have been a welcome haven to Kirk after all of his tribulations |
