bentley clerk of the board D claude uric county road supervisor er visor minutes of the previous session were read and approved and business transacted as follows mr john page met with the board for the purpose of going over and asking for aid on the contemplated tem plated construction of a road from the page ranch to newcastle after considering me ine matter for some length a committee consisting of the following citizens were appointed to look over the road members of the committee C E knell john page H E harrison and D claude uric the above named committee to report at an early date upon this matter morgan richards ex treasurer met with the board and reported his accounts as having been closed and settled it was moved that the ex treasurer be employed to distribute the funds that have been collected by compromise from the johnny and ophir and milling company of Stat stateline eline to the various various funds of the county and state the matter of the assessing of the transmission line between para conall and parowan carowan was discussed at some length it was moved and carried that the assessor be instructed ted to assess the above named property immediately and to collect the back taxes on the same due on account of the line not having been assessed in former years it having aing li been reported that the personal property located at the jenny mines in dateline Sat eline were being removed the sheriff was in strutted ted to stop the moving of the property above mentioned the sheriff was instructed to consult with mr ryan upon the matter assessor hillman dalley met with the board for the purpose of going over the assessed valuations of real estate of the cout county ity the matter was discussed very thoroughly and he conclusion reached that valuations of real estate remain as last year mr E H ryan and henry W lunt were ere appointed as members of the hospital committee to look over the construction of the building and advise in matters of importance moved that E H ryan be authorized to look into the matter of the minor children melba and franklin reeves children of eva J reeves deceased and upon the recommendation of the county attorney the clerk be authorized to draw his warrant for an allowance of 5 each per month moved that the minor child of robt winn now in the care of henry heap be given an allowance of 5 per month moved that the clerk be authorized to write W V warner mitchell and L IV mitchell to make settlement for the windows they purchased from the county some time ago the question referred to atty ryan the last meeting relative to the county standing one third of the cost of making plat sand maps of parowan carowan city was heard this matter was suspended by the board moved and carried that the county appointed constable of the precinct this appointment to become effective upon his filing a bond in the sum of the claim of john edward houchen was rejected by the commissioners ners and the clerk was
