| Show AN ORDINANCE an ordinance Di dinning fining motor vehicle vehicles a and regulating the speed of same gild providing penalties for its ila violation I 1 BE IT ORDAINED by the city council of parowan carowan city see sec I 1 definition of terms the term motor for vehicle shall apply to at all vehicles vehicle propelled by P power other th than n muscular power except road rollers and traction engines the term motorcycle shall apply to motor vehicles hav bay ing but two roam main wheels wheel in contact with the ground upon which the operator sits aits astride but a motorcycle may carry a one wheel attach ment cut and ad seat get for the conveyance of a passenger see sec 2 any person who shall ride or propel or who shall cause or permit to be riden driven or propelled any motor vehicle at a rate of speed greater than 12 miles milea per hour over or past or any street intersection in the cor borate limits of parowan carowan city or any person who shall drive ride nde or propel or shall cause or permit to be riden driven or propelled any motor vehicle at a rate of speed greater than 15 miles per hour upon udon or along ton any of the streets except street intersection as above provided in the city of Pr carowan browan Pa rowan owan shall he be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as hereinafter provided sec sao 3 any person violating any of the pro provisions inions of this ordinance shallie shall be deemed guilty of a mis demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine 0 of not less lea than five dollars nor of more a than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the city cily jail not to exceed three months or by both such fine and imprisonment see sec 4 this ordinance shall take effect and be in force on avd atte the 15 day of august A D 1919 passed by the city council of parowan carowan city this ath day of aug A D 1919 approved this ath day of august 1919 JOHN L LOWD LOWDER elt mayor ATTEST WT T MORRIS city recorder |
