plenty of slice sheep p one day last week L J adams adam gave the editor of the times a ride inde through the west field in order that he might see conditions and the number of sheep that are being beine pastured pa alured in the field it was waa astonishing to note that on nearly every patch of alfalfa there were hundreds of sheep and all in excellent condition we are informed also that the same condition prevails in the other fields the fact that so many sheep is wag being pastured IQ in the fields is I 1 re when one taken into con indention that only a few years ago the average farmer fanner would almost faint were he to see even one sheep on his hib alfalfa patch however our farmers are rapidly learning new wrinkle and it would woud seem main that hat t the pasturing paa of the alfalfa early in the spring is not net only profitable friable but 1 la a means of doing away with a vast amount of weeds the sheep seemingly being as tone fond of the weeds weeda as aa they are of the alfalfa
