| Show OOL BOARD MEETS routine matters matter taken up fiss ero 0 of if teachers teacher in ii it atte tb ah be held at Par owran the regular monthly meeting of the county school board was waa held in cedar city february 5 at which business was attended to as follows iowa mr robinson reported that himself and mr decker had investigated the work of treasurer adams for far th the past year and recommended recommend d that the claim presented sometime ago for an air addict additional al 50 to his him eal I 1 ary be a allowed the report of mr fl rob son was accepted and on motion the amount asked by mr mir adania adams was waa allowed mr robinson also reported that he and mr decker had looked into the t be matter of the securing of a suitable person to act as treasurer in the place of mr ada adams m w whose as business affairs are such each that he has but tittle little time to attend to the business of the board as treasurer scott matheson and harley dalton both of parowan carowan Pa rowan were suggested but as yet it is not known whether they could act upon motion the matter mat ter was left in the hands of mr robinson to find a suitable person and report at next regular session of the board suot soot presented the matter of the employment of teachers for the coming tear sear ss as well as the preparing of contracts tor teachers janitors etc after discussion of the matter matter supt bupt was instructed to go ahead with the plans for the school year ear 1917 1918 bupt supt gave notice to the board that teachers Tea hers hars ansti institute tu te would be held in parowan carowan march 16 and notification will wil be given to all teachers in the county A communication from E C gow ens in regard to the superintendent acting as juvenile officer was read the communication stated in detail the work required of the superintendent along juvenile work lines supt bupt will immediately take charge of the work the superintendent stated that several children from latimer hac bad been moved to lund so as to attend school and he recommended that 1 00 a week be allowed per child this would be ba more advantageous than holding school at latimer upon motion same mine was ordered done i several bills billa were allowed after which the meeting adjourned |
