J Ji 0 PI I 10 1 U rl I L tJ w j.-c j. r 1 o J. l' l JAYNE FISHER Returns From Visit To Middle East Jayne Fisher daughter of Eula Fisher recently returned from a three week Bible lands tour sponsored by BYU THE TOUR was under the direction of Dr Lamar Ber- Ber rett Stopovers for sight-seeing sight were made in Amsterdam and in Switzerland The group spent several days each in Rome Egypt Cyprus Israel and Greece THE TILE EXCITING part of the tour for Jayne was being able to speak Arabic with the people people people peo peo- in Egypt where that is the national language and also in Jerusalem where it itis itis itis is the language of 80 percent percent percent per per- cent of the people 1 Jayne was able to visit a Bedouin home and also a Jewish home in Jerusalem THE GROUP also visited Pit tomb 33 in Luxor where they were one of the first groups to be allowed to see ten million dollars worth of artifacts and where the scrolls were found for the Book of Abraham and Joseph Joseph Jo Jo- Joseph seph in the Pearl of Great Price Upon returning to the United States she visited with her brother Jim at East Lansing Mich JA JAYNE IS a graduate of Bountiful High School and a Junior at BYU She will spend the summer working in campaign headquarters headquarters headquarters head head- quarters for Senator Cannon in Las Vega before returning to BYU in the fall |
