| Show HOWARD AND the of abc salt lake bar have held an indignation meeting and protested in against the appointment of summer howaad as chief justice of utah territory de that he lack the ability and moral qualification to the affairs of that office ahe meeting failed to refer to the present chief jus tice of the territory who is no more fit to fill the office than howard and who it the matter was to be decided by a vote would be defected ten to one with howard for his opponent at that very meeting there were of thy bar present who knew very good leagons why hunter should have been as vigorously protested against as howard the time may como soon will be necessary to name these same lawyers and asic them if they enow of good and auf focient reasons why judge huntck shoud be denounced as howard has been and they cannot avoid telling what they enow or committing perjury judge hunter in his has hinted at possible lit el suits which he will bring for juat such assertions as these po sibly a little stronger but he has not as yet instituted anny such suits Is it possible that his hanoi is not yet prepared to stait in or is he afraid of the outcome tiina a man in his high position should do all m his power to vindicate his eeoc name if he ever po hessed such an article and when he does that we hope the salt like bar will hold a meeting and then endorse the comiso of the present incumbent A deal like howards may possibly await him if he does not unde itale a clean up for the salt lake bar will not be accountable after he is decapitated and they no longer stand in fear of the gonei upon the bench things have come to a pretty pass in the third district court |
