| Show Funeral Rites Held For Edith Walsh Edith May Walsh died at atthe atthe atthe the age of 84 on Friday Aug 29 in a Bountiful hospital hospital hospital hos hos- pital of natural causes SHE WAS born Feb 2 1885 in Salt Lake City to John and Adella AdelIa Rosetta Long Walsh Her father John came to Salt Lake City as asa asa asa a Mormon pioneer in 1856 with the Martin handcart company Adella AdelIa came in 1866 Edith was one of four children children children chil chil- dren and the family Camily moved to Farmington when they were young and were residents residents residents resi resi- dents here ever since SHE RECEIVED her ed education education at BYU and started her teaching career at Farmington Farmington Farmington Farm arm ington elementary school about 1916 continuing until her retirement in 1953 Many hundreds of Farmington children children children chil chil- dren were her pupils and she was a wonderful teacher teach teach- er for Cor them Mrs Walsh was a member member member mem mem- ber of the Farmington Third Ward and fulfilled a mission to California before beCore her teaching career SERVING AS a teacher in Sunday School Primary and in the local church she also was on the stake primary board and stake Sunday School board Cormany for Cor many years She also belonged belonged belonged be be- longed to the Sel Senior or Literary Club Many of the plays in if primary primary primary mary and MIA were under her direction and she devoted her talents and financial support support support sup sup- port to these church projects which she loved so much SURVIVORS are a sister- sister law in-law Mrs Isabel H.
