Show (D)baitifflaiirSe Morgan Wilford Lewis Jr. r Morgan Wilford Lewis Jr., a former Summit County Attorney, died on May 11 in Salt Lake. He was 58. He was born July 29, 1926 in Kamas to Morgan Wilford and Lois Blake Lewis. He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. Lewis married the former Cora Prescott July 15, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple. A graduate of the University of Utah Law School, he was a former assistant to the Utah Attorney General and practiced law with the Pneumo Corporation. He was also formerly employed at Hill Air Force Base. As an LDS member, he served as a bishop and high councilman, and served in the stake presidencies of Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island. He was a resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Kalamazoo; children Mrs. John (Aloni) Fisher (Salt Lake), Mrs. Aries (Ruth Mary) Hansen (of Pleasanton, California), Mrs. Robert (Lois lone) Miller (of Tucson, Arizona), Mrs. Allan (Cristie) Boyer (of Byron, Illinois), Mrs. Edward (Liesa) Gabriel (of Clifton Park, ' New York), Lincoln Morgan Lewis (Stockton, California), Blake Elvin Lewis (of Kalamazoo) and Cora Ann Lewis (Provo); sisters Mona Prescott (Kamas), Mrs. Lynn (Jerrolyn) Anderson (Idaho Falls, Idaho) and Illeene Peterson (Portland, Oregon) ; and 20 grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at the Kamas Second LDS Ward. Interment was in the Marion Cemetery. Lauretta Pearl Evans Stephenson Lauretta Pearl Evans Stephenson, who lived most of her life in Park City, died on May 7. She was 70. She was born March 1, 1915 in Denver, Colorado to William H. and Laura Vivian Welch. She was preceded in death by three husbands, P.E. Fullmer, Wallace A. Evans and Harry Horton. She then married Warren Stephenson. A member of the LDS church, she devoted many years to caring for foster children. She attended school in Park City and left here in 1951. She is survived by her husband, of Salt Lake; children and spouses Shirley and Jerry Scoggan (Midvale), Jerry and Deanna Fullmer (Riverton), and Wallace D. and Jeannette Evans (Kearns); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Goff Mortuary Chapel (8090 South State) . Burial was in South Jordan City Cemetery. |
