Show Davis H 4 Holds Molds Annual I Camp During the week of July 28 to August 2 Davis County H 4 Clubs held their annual Camp at Forest Camp 14 miles east of Oakley Oakley Oakley Oak Oak- ley in Summit County Utah under the direction of L. L Darrell Stokes and Lloyd Smith U. U S S. S Extension Agents and Dorothy K Hansen Extension Home Economist WITH THE number of H 4 H. 4 Clubs in Davis County and the camping space available it vas was necessary to divide the camp into two divisions The H 4 Clubs with members ages 9 and 10 were in Camp beginning beginning beginning begin begin- ning at 10 am a.m. Monday i JL July Y 28 and broke Camp at 10 am a.m. July 30 Clubs with members 11 12 and 13 years of age moved in I beginning at 11 am a.m. July 30 and md broke camp August 2 IN PREPARATION PAR N for the I IN PRE ATIO i Camp some very informative and important information was issued to the Club Leaders and the Hers 4 before Camp time as to the what where and how necessary to make a comfortable comfortable comfortable com com- pleasant and successful successful successful success success- ful camp Suggestions were given as to suitable clothing bedding transportation transportation transportation trans trans- meals cooking shelter shelter shelter shel shel- ter and registration Suggestions Suggestions Suggestions for camp cookery Each Club was to have an adL adult t leader leader leader lea lea- der at Camp The direction set up for Camp Sites for the different Clubs WITH TIllS THIS pre-planning pre before before before be be- fore the opening of the camp on Monday 1 July 28 the program for the week was not hard to follow The activities during the day were many and varied The handicraft chairman had t I asked for leaders and H 4 members members members mem- mem memI I bers to brin bring a gallon allon sized I I u Clorox bottle Th The girls were were- to bring a piece of fabric 21 x 9 for a curler bag A large selection of handicraft handicraft handicraft handi handi- craft materials were available Cartoon characters were painted paint paint- ed and decorated on egg cartons I Numerous varieties of handicraft handicraft handicraft handi handi- craft displays were made There was no idle time as the Hers 4 I were expected to take an active part in all phases of the camp operation The recreation and entertainment entertainment entertainment entertain entertain- ment part of the fire camp-fire programs were planned during the day at camp This year the camp was fortunate in having having having hav hav- ing music and drama directors who worked with the boys and girls in a creative type of work-shop work with song music and skits that were presented for I evening entertainment Some of the features that were stressed by the leaders u were Get to know more people people people peo peo- and make new friends participate participate participate par par- in all activities help to plan the camp menus share in making meals on a camp campfire campfire fire fire arid add in every way help I.
