Show Feeling too much stress? Maybe it's the design of your office Mountains Home Design Tour" to be held Dec. 1, 2, and 3. The tour will be a showcase of Park City homes, similar to the popular popu-lar Parade of Homes tours. Clark & Associates is working work-ing with Ann MacQuoid, president of Park City Performances, Per-formances, sponsor of the event. In addition to a spot on the design committee, Clark & Associates will do all the decorations at Jan-eaux's, Jan-eaux's, the last stop on the tour. Clark was born and raised in Newport Beach, California, Cali-fornia, the site of the other branch of her firm. In the 15 years the California branch has been in existence, she said, it has done a good deal of business with Park City. So it was a natural decision to open a new office here. "Design is important for reduction of stress on a day-to-day level." That is the thinking of Linda Clark, owner of Park City's newest interior design business, Linda Clark and Associates, which recently opened in the Park Meadows Plaza. "We use color and creative crea-tive design to reduce daily stress levels and to touch people's identities and dreams,'" she explained. Clark & Associates makes use of such design in residential homes, condominium condo-minium models, medical and dental offices, and commercial offices. The firm also puts together furniture packages for condominium con-dominium projects. But Linda Clark and Associates does a lot more than just choose the color of the sofa. The company is often involved in projects before ground is even broken. "We do a lot of conceptua lizing," Clark said. The firm first will do artist renderings of a proposed project, utilizing utiliz-ing the look desired by the client. Then it will procure the services of an architect and contractor and will act as a liaison between the involved parties, giving guidance on the design of the project. According to Clark, the company can be involved with a project all the way from the conceptual stage up to the final landscaping. One edge that the firm has, in Clark's eyes, is an actual construction background. back-ground. Clark is a licensed general contractor in California, Calif-ornia, and has hands-on experience in all facets of construction. But she said the firm is not looking to compete for the actual construction with other area contractors. "We generally farm out most of that."
