Jeweler Boosts Historical Society The oral history program initiated last week by the Park City Historical Society has received a boost from local jeweler Dick Doty. .Doty has donated $100 to. the program to purchase tapes needed to record the oral histories of Park City. The tapes will be purchased through KPCW at the station's cost, resulting ,in additional savings to the socieiy. '. ' The oral history program involves taping the memories of Park City senior citizens in order to preserve a direct link to the city's 1 historical past.- , Presently volunteers are being trained by the Utah State Historical Society in various methods of" collecting the histories.- Eventually a complete collection of the oral histories will be made available, to .the public thorugh' the society.
