Show Assault Charges Filed Terry Buckley Palmer, 34, of Kamas was arrested over the weekend and charged with aggravated assault following an altercation Saturday night at the Cowboy Bar on Main Street. Palmer reportedly got into an argument with an employee of the bar, then allegedly returned later carrying a rifle. According to Park City Police Chief Mike Crowley, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, however, Palmer was arrested shortly thereafter approximately ten blocks from the bar. 'Improper Lookout' on Park Ave. A 1980 Pontiac, which was being driven northbound on Park Avenue last Thursday by Park City resident Ken Kummer, was struck by another car causing approximately $1300 damage. Joni Powell of Magni was cited for "improper lookout" when she reportedly pulled out from an intersection and hit the Pontiac. Ms. Powell's 1979 Chevrolet sustained $700 damage. Burglars Hit Resort! The Park City Resort parking lot and Park Avenue Condominiums were the scenes of numerous burglaries recently, one involving a snowmobile. Roger D. Schmidt, who works at the Resort Center, reported that on Feb. 2nd his "Trailfire 440" snowmobile, worth approximately $2000 was stolen. And two days later, three separate thefts occurred, also at the Resort. Sally Woodruff of Sandy reported her CB radio and $50 in cash were stolen from her car; and Murray resident Mark Seeronen told police he went to Wolfe's to shop, and when he returned thirty minutes later, his brand new bindings worth $115 and a pair of "Lange" ski boots were missing from his car. And in another theft, Sharon Frentle of Salt Lake had fourteen cassette tapes worth approximately $126 taken from her car parked at the Resort lot. And Local Condos Meanwhile, thieves were also being a nuissance at Park Avenue Condominiums. Thursday of last week, Ronald Hahn of Delmar, Calif, had a bottle of Cabernet Savignon wine and three twenty-dollar bills stolen from his residence. Another California resident, George F. Speicher, reported a theft on Monday, this one occurred at night while Speicher was apparently having dinner. A brown leather tote bag worth $600, credit cards and a $100 brown leather purse were stolen. The thief reportedly broke through a balcony window to make entrance. And in another burglary incident Saturday, this one not at Park Ave., a 19" Sylvania color television set was reported stolen by Jim McManus from his home in Holiday Ranch. |
