Show PC Summer School Begins July 11 Summer school is being offered in Park City which will be part of the community education program pro-gram and consist of courses in basic curriculum as well as foreign for-eign languages. The summer school courses will be open to children ages 6 to 11. There will be two sessions, each lasting three weeks. "We're basically trying to tie it in with the Art Center and the recreational department," said Nancy McComb, who along with Jana Cole, Linda Singer and Maureen Traeger organized the summer school program. "Everyone we've talked to is enthusiastic about it," Mrs. McComb Mc-Comb said. The first session begins July 11 and lasts until July 27. There are two class periods, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. At the 8 o'clock class reading extra help, math challenge, science, Spanish and language arts (poetry and creative writing) will be offered. During the next hour of class, Math extra help, reading challenge, chal-lenge, drama, French and environmental envir-onmental education will be taught. A "second summer school session ses-sion will be from August 1 to August 17. Classes will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The cost is $10 per class. It is still undecided where to hold summer school, however it may be at Park City High School. All of the teachers will be from Park City. Nancy McComb said if summer school proves successful, it will more than likely be expanded next year and include classes in career education and cultural enrichment. en-richment.
